Origins

🌈 Origin Story of the Universal Rainbow Church
“Reclaiming the Sacred Role of Transgender and Non-Binary People Across Time”
In the beginning, before religion, before doctrine, before language itself — there was the Divine. And the Divine created not just man and woman, but the sacred in-between. In Genesis 1:27 it says, "God created humankind in God's image; male and female He created them." — them — the holy “they.” This is not just a linguistic accident. It is a spiritual truth. It is divine plurality. It is non-binary. It is sacred.
From the time before time, transgender, non-binary, and gender-diverse people have held spiritual, healing, visionary, and ceremonial roles across every continent. We were the first seers. The prophets. The priestesses. The shamans. The bridge-walkers. We held wisdom of both the visible and invisible, the masculine and the feminine, and everything beyond and between.
Before colonialism, patriarchy, and binary religion sought to erase us, we were revered — as carriers of healing, keepers of mystery, and sacred protectors of divine balance.

✨ The Effeminate as Sacred
Where the modern world saw shame, the ancient world saw spirit:
-
In the Galli, effeminacy was power.
-
Christian saints like St. Francis and St. Sebastian were gentle, loving, and spiritually radiant.
-
In Taoism: “What is soft is strong.”
-
Matthew 5:5: “Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the Earth.”
Effeminate. Soft. Loving. Visionary. Sacred.
🕯️ What Was Sacred Was Suppressed
With colonization came erasure. With empires came binaries. Temples burned. Scriptures rewritten. Our bodies were policed. Our stories were hidden. But the divine cannot be erased. The truth cannot be unspoken.
🔥 We Are Rising Again
Modern visibility is not invention — it is sacred memory. It is the call of our ancestors echoing across time:
“We are not anomalies — we are ancestors.”
We are walking forward, not for the first time — but for the thousandth time renewed.
🔮 URC: A Temple for Ancient Souls
The Universal Rainbow Church is not built of brick but of soul. A sanctuary where the transgender, non-binary, and queer soul is holy — again.
We are:
-
📜 The scribes of truth
-
🔥 The keepers of flame
-
🌈 The bridge between worlds
We are reclaiming what was taken. We are restoring what was hidden. We are remembering who we are.
We are the sacred ones — the seen and the unseen — returned.
🌟 Welcome to the temple of truth, love, and miracles.
🙏🏽 Prayer to Our Ancestors and Descendants
O Great Spirit of all that was, is, and shall be —
We call now upon the holy ones who came before us: Our ancestors, our queer elders, our transgender lineage — Those who lived and loved and fought for truth when truth was dangerous.
We ask: Infuse us now with your courage, Lend us the strength that kept your light burning through oppression, Whisper your ancient wisdom into our bones, And remind us that your lives and even your deaths were never in vain.
You paved the way for us to rise. Now we walk forward carrying your torch.
We also call to the generations ahead: To our spiritual descendants, the unborn warriors of light — May they inherit a world more just, more sacred, and more whole. May they feel this blessing ripple across time.
We bless the LGBTQIA+ community in every land and lineage — May we awaken to the miracle of who we are. May we rise, rooted in truth, surrounded by love, Guided by you — our holy queer ancestors — forever.
🕊️ Amen. Aho. And so it is.
🌬️ Guided Meditation: Remembering Who We Are
Begin by closing your eyes. Breathe in deeply. Let the breath fill your belly, your chest, your spirit. Exhale slowly.
Feel the ground beneath you. This earth has known you before time. Feel your spine rise tall — this is your sacred pillar.
Now imagine behind you — a long line of ancestors. Transgender and non-binary visionaries, warriors, mystics, dancers, dreamers. They stand with you now. You are not alone.
They whisper into your soul:
“We walked so you could run. We dreamed so you could remember.”
Feel their energy pour into your back — a golden current of courage.
Now see before you — a shining future. A world blooming with equality. Children with light in their eyes, walking paths you helped clear.
Your breath is sacred. Your body is sacred. Your identity is divine.
“I remember who I am. I carry the flame. I rise.”
Breathe that in.
When you are ready, gently open your eyes. Welcome back — whole, worthy, seen, and full of radiant power.
