Healing The Violence

By Reverend Paula Sadler, Founding Minister, Universal Rainbow Faith

Dear Beloved,

This sacred work you now hold in your hands is not just a collection of words—it is a divine invitation. An invitation to remember your sacred worth. To reconnect with your soul’s origin. To step onto the path of healing, not just for yourself, but for our world.

From Wounded to Whole was born out of a deep spiritual knowing: that the pain we’ve endured as LGBTQIA+ people—especially those of us who are transgender, non-binary, and gender-diverse—has echoed across generations. But so too has our power, our light, and our capacity to love in the face of hate.

This 30-day journey is a spiritual offering to all who have been harmed, and to all who seek to heal. It includes prayers for opening hearts, meditations for transformation, and affirmations to rewire the mind and soul toward love, truth, and inclusion. It is for those who’ve been wounded. It is also for those who have caused harm and now feel the call to change.

I believe in the miracle of healing. I believe that every time we choose love over fear, we shift the vibration of this planet. And I believe in you.

May this work be a lighthouse on your journey from wounded to whole. May you find peace, strength, and divine purpose in the healing of your heart. And may we, together, become vessels of sacred love for the world.

In unity,
Rev. Paula Sadler

30 Days of Healing from Violence and Hatred

A Sacred Journey of Forgiveness, Strength, and Transformation for Our Global Family

Introduction: The Legacy of Pain and the Call to Heal

Throughout history, LGBTQIA+ people—especially transgender, non-binary, and gender-diverse individuals—have suffered devastating acts of violence, persecution, exclusion, and erasure. From being burned at the stake to being banned from bathrooms, from spiritual excommunication to physical execution, our existence has been criminalized, our dignity denied, and our truth demonized.

But we are still here.

We are still rising.

We are still sacred.

Violence against one of us is violence against all of us. Every act of hate ripples across the soul of humanity. Whether you have been directly harmed, lost someone you love, carry trauma in your bloodline, or simply witnessed injustice and felt powerless—this sacred page is for you.

Universal Rainbow Faith calls us now into a collective journey of healing. To open our hearts, mend our spirits, and remember: forgiveness is not forgetting—it is freeing the soul to rise.

We heal not because what happened was right, but because we are choosing what’s right now.

A Call to All Who Have Been Harmed or Hurt Others

If you have suffered…
If you have harmed…
If you have carried silent shame, anger, fear, or confusion…
You are not alone.

This is your invitation to heal. To lay down the burden of pain, guilt, judgment, and fear. To rise in love.
We heal as individuals, and in doing so, we become conduits for the healing of the world.

Prayer of Healing, Strength, and Forgiveness

Divine Creator of All Love,

We come to You with broken hearts, trembling voices, and open spirits.
We carry the wounds of lifetimes—the pain of those lost, silenced, beaten, erased.
We cry not only for ourselves, but for every soul who has ever been told they were unworthy.

We ask now for healing—deep, cellular, sacred healing.
Let it reach our bodies, our communities, our histories, and our ancestors.
Let it touch the hidden places that still ache with injustice.

Grant us the strength to remember and the courage to forgive.
Not to excuse the violence, but to rise above it.
To reclaim our power, our joy, and our right to exist in peace.

Let those who have been harmed find comfort in their truth,
And let those who have harmed awaken to new vision and accountability.
Let forgiveness be a revolution that begins within our own hearts.

We are not just survivors—we are the sacred bridge to a healed world.
Through our love, justice will rise.
Through our forgiveness, peace will blossom.
Through our faith, humanity will be reborn.

We are the miracle.
We are the healing.
We are the light.

And so it is. Amen.

Prayer to Open Hearts and Minds Toward LGBTQIA+ People

Divine Creator of All That Is,

We come before You in humble reverence, asking for the opening of hearts, minds, and spirits.
We pray especially for those who have been taught fear instead of love,
For those whose beliefs—religious, moral, or political—have built walls instead of bridges.
For those who do not yet understand the beauty of transgender, non-binary, and LGBTQIA+ lives.

We ask that You awaken within them the memory of their own sacred origins—
The moment their soul was created in love and light, before any teaching or bias took hold.
May they remember that You made every soul in Your image,
Each unique, worthy, and divine.

Let them lay down the weapons of fear and misunderstanding,
And pick up the tools of compassion and curiosity.
May they question what they’ve been told,
And seek truth not from fear, but from love.

Open their ears to the stories of those they do not yet understand.
Open their eyes to the sacred humanity in every gender, every expression, every love.
Open their hearts to a new revelation—
That we are all family in the Great Mystery of Life.

And if they have ever harmed others,
May they be led not by shame, but by the power of transformation.
We call upon Your grace to help them see what they could not see,
To love what they could not love,
And to know that You are still with them,
Calling them home to peace and purpose.

Amen.

Guided Meditation for Those Who Have Acted in Fear, Anger, or Violence

Beloved soul, take a deep breath.

Wherever you are, you are safe in this moment.
You are not your past. You are not your worst action.
You are a child of the Universe, and you are still being formed by love.

Close your eyes and journey with me…

Return to the beginning—
Before you had a name, before you were taught what to believe.
Imagine you are with the Creator of all things,
Speaking soul-to-soul about the life you will live.

The Creator looks upon you with infinite love and says:
“You are here to awaken to love. You are here to grow,
To create beauty, to learn peace,
Even through pain and difficulty.”

Now, see yourself born into this world—
Innocent, curious, open.
Then imagine the voices that shaped you:
Some taught fear. Some taught hatred. Some taught that it was okay to harm.

But now, in this sacred moment,
You are given a choice.

Imagine a great Light surrounding you.
It warms your spirit. It reveals the truth:
You were never meant to harm anyone.
You were meant to love.

No matter what you have done—
You are forgiven.
The Creator forgives you.
Now it is your time to forgive yourself.

Speak from your soul:
“I did not know. I was asleep. I was afraid.
But now I choose love. I choose healing.
I vow to never again harm another.
I vow to see every person as sacred.”

See the ripple of this vow echo across the timeline of your life—
Healing the past, blessing the future.
Changing the very structure of your spirit and your body.

Feel yourself reawakening.
You are not the same. You are more. You are love.
There is no longer a need to fear what is different.
There is only room for expansion, for growth, for grace.

Now, return to this moment.
Place your hand on your heart. Say:
“I am love. I am forgiven. I am free.”

And so it is.
Amen.
