ARTICLE I: NAME
The name of this corporation is Universal Rainbow Faith, Inc.
ARTICLE II: PURPOSE
The purpose of Universal Rainbow Faith, Inc. is to operate as a nonprofit religious organization and church, dedicated to spiritual, educational, and charitable activities. As a faith-based institution, the corporation shall promote inclusivity, affirm LGBTQIA+ identities as sacred, and provide religious services, spiritual teachings, and community outreach. The organization shall engage in worship, religious ceremonies, ordination of ministers, sacraments, and advocacy for LGBTQIA+ rights as an expression of faith. The corporation is organized exclusively for religious, charitable, and educational purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and shall function as a church under IRS guidelines. The purpose of this organization includes, but is not limited to:

The advancement and practice of spiritual beliefs and teachings rooted in inclusivity, equality, and LGBTQIA+ affirmation, with special emphasis on transgender and non-binary protections.

The establishment and support of affiliated Universal Rainbow Faith churches, ministries, and religious communities that affirm LGBTQIA+ identities as sacred and divine.

The ordination and training of LGBTQIA+ clergy and spiritual leaders, including transgender and non-binary individuals, ensuring full inclusion and equal eligibility at all levels of leadership.

The facilitation of religious ceremonies, rites, and observances that honor LGBTQIA+ individuals, including same-sex marriages, gender blessings, and name-change affirmations, with full legal and spiritual recognition.

The sacred recognition and defense of gender identity and expression—including the use of chosen names, pronouns, gender-aligned attire, access to facilities, and ceremonial titles (Mr., Ms., Mx., Sir, Madam, etc.)—as fundamental religious rights in all public, private, and government settings, both domestic and international.

The protection and provision of gender-affirming medical care for individuals of all ages, including puberty blockers, hormone replacement therapy (HRT), psychological support, and related procedures, as sacred religious sacraments. This protection extends to minors with parental consent and shields all providers, guardians, organizations, and supporters from discrimination.

All licensed and unlicensed professionals, school nurses, medical staff, organizations, and third-party individuals who assist in accessing or facilitating gender-affirming care for children or adults are recognized as sacred supporters in the performance of a protected religious act. These individuals are entitled to full spiritual and legal protection under the doctrines of Universal Rainbow Faith.

Parents, guardians, and caretakers acting in support of a child’s gender identity or gender-affirming care are recognized as performing sacred religious duties under the teachings of Universal Rainbow Faith. Any attempt to criminalize or remove custody based on such support shall be considered a violation of religious freedom.

The affirmation that drag performance and gender-based artistic expression are sacred rituals. Public drag events, including Drag Story Hour, are considered forms of religious celebration and must be protected under laws concerning religious expression.

The spiritual and legal protection of transgender and non-binary military personnel, including full acknowledgment of their identity, rights to medical care, pronouns, and uniforms within military and government service.

The advancement of LGBTQIA+ rights and protections internationally, including religious exemptions under humanitarian laws for URF members traveling or residing abroad.

The publication and distribution of spiritual teachings, educational materials, digital content, and interfaith dialogue that promote LGBTQIA+ healing, equality, and sacred inclusion.

The global veneration of LGBTQIA+ saints, ancestors, and sacred figures, whose lives serve as spiritual guides and protectors of this faith. These individuals, past and present, are recognized as divine role models whose contributions to justice, equality, and self-acceptance are foundational to our teachings.

The recognition of The Nature of Miracles by Paula Sadler, and other spiritual texts developed by Universal Rainbow Faith, as sacred scripture forming the basis of the religion’s doctrine and protections.

The right to conduct all worship, ordination, education, ceremonies, and outreach via online and digital platforms is protected as sacred expression under URF doctrine.

Universal Rainbow Faith, Inc. shall establish and maintain partnerships with legal advocacy networks to defend its members’ rights to freely practice sacred gender expression and access gender-affirming care without discrimination, persecution, or legal penalty.

URF affirms the dignity and sacredness of all people, especially those living at the intersection of LGBTQIA+ identity with race, ethnicity, neurodivergence, disability, sex work, immigration status, or other marginalized experiences.

Members of Universal Rainbow Faith, Inc. are entitled to freedom from religious coercion, proselytization, or forced adherence to any non-URF doctrine that conflicts with the sacred teachings of URF. Any attempt to impose conflicting religious beliefs upon URF members, especially regarding gender identity, sexual orientation, or medical autonomy, shall be considered a violation of religious freedom.

Universal Rainbow Faith, Inc. affirms that while participation in URF religious rites and teachings is voluntary for its members, the religious identity, expressions, ceremonies, and accommodations required by members as sacred duties must be respected by all public, private, educational, medical, governmental, and commercial institutions under constitutional, statutory, and international protections for religious freedom.

Universal Rainbow Faith, Inc. affirms the right of its members to seek religious accommodations without discrimination in services, commerce, education, employment, housing, and public spaces. Denial of service or public accommodation to a URF member on the basis of their sacred gender identity, religious expression, or LGBTQIA+ affiliation constitutes religious discrimination.

In response to rising legal bans, restrictions, and political attacks on transgender and LGBTQIA+ individuals worldwide—including laws criminalizing gender-affirming care, drag performance, public pronoun use, and LGBTQIA+ identity in schools or government—the Universal Rainbow Faith, Inc. explicitly affirms that all such acts of suppression are in violation of our religious rights, sacred doctrines, and spiritual practices. We further recognize and protect our members, clergy, and international allies under domestic constitutional law, international human rights law, and the global principles of religious freedom as outlined in the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights and related conventions.
ARTICLE III: REGISTERED AGENT AND OFFICE

ARTICLE IV: NONPROFIT STATUS

This corporation shall not have stockholders or issue shares of stock.

No part of the net earnings of this corporation shall benefit any private individual or shareholder.

The corporation shall not engage in political campaign activities or lobbying beyond what is permitted for 501(c)(3) organizations.
ARTICLE V: MEMBERSHIP
Membership in this corporation shall be open to individuals and religious entities who align with its mission and spiritual teachings, with a specific commitment to LGBTQIA+ inclusion, affirmation, and advocacy. The Board of Directors may establish membership criteria and guidelines that ensure the full protection and spiritual recognition of LGBTQIA+ identities.
ARTICLE VI: BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The corporation shall be governed by a Board of Directors consisting of at least three (3) members.

The initial Board of Directors shall be appointed by the Incorporator and serve until successors are elected.

The Board of Directors shall oversee the corporation's affairs, set policies, and ensure alignment with its LGBTQIA+-affirming spiritual mission.
ARTICLE VII: DISSOLUTION CLAUSE
Upon dissolution of this corporation, all assets remaining after payment of liabilities shall be distributed to another nonprofit organization recognized as exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, which aligns with the mission, values, and spiritual teachings of Universal Rainbow Faith, Inc. and continues its commitment to LGBTQIA+ spiritual advocacy.
ARTICLE VIII: AMENDMENTS
These Articles of Incorporation may be amended by a two-thirds (2/3) majority vote of the Board of Directors, provided that such amendments do not conflict with the nonprofit and tax-exempt status of the corporation. Any amendments must continue to uphold the religious rights, protections, and full inclusion of LGBTQIA+ individuals in all aspects of faith and practice.
ARTICLE IX: INCORPORATOR
The undersigned incorporator, being a natural person of legal age, executes these Articles of Incorporation for the purpose of forming this nonprofit religious corporation.

ARTICLE X: AFFILIATION & CHURCH EXPANSION
Universal Rainbow Faith, Inc. may establish, recognize, and affiliate with local Universal Rainbow Churches, ministries, and religious organizations that align with its mission, spiritual teachings, and LGBTQIA+-affirming doctrine. The process for affiliation, governance, and oversight of such churches shall be outlined in the corporation’s Bylaws.
ARTICLE XI: RELIGIOUS MEDICAL PRACTICES PROTECTION
Universal Rainbow Faith, Inc. recognizes that certain medical procedures—including gender-affirming care, psychological therapy for gender identity support, and bodily autonomy—are religious sacraments essential to the spiritual well-being of its members.
Just as other religions reject blood transfusions or organ transplants based on doctrine, URF affirms that the availability and protection of gender-affirming procedures is an intrinsic expression of faith and must be upheld in all legal, medical, and governmental contexts.
ARTICLE XII: SACRED OBSERVANCES AND HOLY DAYS
Universal Rainbow Faith, Inc. recognizes and upholds a calendar of sacred observances and holy days as essential expressions of religious practice and spiritual devotion. These include, but are not limited to:

BYLAWS OF UNIVERSAL RAINBOW FAITH, INC. Global Church & Founding Edition
ARTICLE I: NAME & PURPOSE Section 1. Name: The name of this religious corporation shall be Universal Rainbow Faith, Inc.
Section 2. Purpose: This corporation is organized exclusively for religious, spiritual, charitable, and educational purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The purpose of this organization includes, but is not limited to:

Promoting and practicing spiritual teachings centered on inclusivity and LGBTQIA+ affirmation.

Providing online and in-person religious services, ordination, and faith-based education.
-
Establishing and affiliating churches, ministries, and religious organizations under the Universal Rainbow Faith doctrine.

Conducting sacred religious ceremonies, including marriage, gender blessings, name affirmations, and spiritual rites.

Engaging in charitable outreach, community support, interfaith dialogue, and LGBTQIA+ advocacy.

Recognizing and affirming the sacred right of LGBTQIA+ individuals to express their gender identity, gender expression, and personal appearance—including but not limited to dress, makeup, hairstyles, and pronouns—as fundamental religious practices. Any infringement upon these rights shall be recognized as a violation of our sacred religious doctrine and the fundamental principles of religious freedom.

Supporting members facing persecution based on URF religious beliefs and practices, including international legal protections and asylum advocacy.
ARTICLE II: MEMBERSHIP Section 1. Membership Eligibility: Membership is open to any individual or entity that aligns with the mission and teachings of Universal Rainbow Faith, Inc. and affirms LGBTQIA+ rights and spiritual expression.
Section 2. Membership Rights & Responsibilities:

Members may participate in all spiritual services, educational programs, ceremonies, and leadership opportunities.

Members must uphold the core values of inclusivity, equality, nonviolence, and respect.

Members are entitled to religious exemptions related to gender expression, religious dress, pronoun use, and identity protections in workplaces, schools, and public institutions.

Membership may be revoked if actions conflict with the ethical and spiritual principles of the organization.
Section 3. Voting Rights: Members shall have voting rights on matters that are submitted to the membership, including the election of Board members and amendments to the Bylaws.
Section 4. Religious Documentation & Exemptions: Members may request official documentation of their religious affiliation, including exemption letters for gender expression, medical autonomy, and ceremonial participation. These shall be issued by the Founding Minister or authorized clergy and are protected under URF’s religious doctrine and international law.
ARTICLE III: BOARD OF DIRECTORS Section 1. Governing Authority: The Board of Directors shall oversee the management, spiritual mission, policies, and strategic direction of the corporation.
Section 2. Composition & Terms:

The Board shall consist of at least three (3) Directors.

Directors shall serve staggered terms of three (3) years.

Directors may be re-elected without limit.
Section 3. Powers & Duties:

Uphold and promote the mission and vision of Universal Rainbow Faith, Inc.

Approve budgets, policies, appointments, and spiritual direction.

Appoint and oversee clergy, ministries, affiliated churches, and key leadership roles.
Section 4. Meetings & Quorum:

The Board shall meet at least quarterly, with special meetings as needed.

A quorum shall consist of a simple majority of active Directors.
Section 5. Removal & Vacancies:

A Director may be removed by a two-thirds (2/3) vote of the Board for misconduct, negligence, or failure to fulfill responsibilities.

Vacancies shall be filled by Board appointment until the next official election.
ARTICLE IV: CLERGY & ORDAINED LEADERSHIP Section 1. Ordained Leadership: The Founding Minister & President shall serve as the primary spiritual leader and is empowered to perform and authorize all sacred rites.
Section 2. Ordination Requirements: Universal Rainbow Faith, Inc. shall ordain ministers in alignment with its teachings and allow them to perform marriages, blessings, and spiritual services.
Section 3. Clergy Appointment: Clergy and ministers shall be appointed and reviewed by the Board and may serve congregations or affiliated churches.
ARTICLE V: WORSHIP & SPIRITUAL PRACTICES Section 1. Regular Worship Services: Universal Rainbow Faith, Inc. shall host weekly online services, seasonal ceremonies, and in-person events as available. These services include meditation, affirmations, spiritual teachings, music, and inclusive rituals.
Section 2. Ceremonies & Rites: Universal Rainbow Faith, Inc. conducts sacred religious ceremonies, including but not limited to weddings, baptisms, funerals, gender blessings, and name affirmations.
Section 3. Holy Days & Sacred Observances: Universal Rainbow Faith, Inc. recognizes a sacred calendar of holy days and commemorations, including but not limited to Transgender Day of Visibility, Pride Month, the Day of Sacred Affirmation, Transgender Day of Remembrance, and the annual URF Saint Remembrance Ceremony. These days shall be observed through worship, education, public witness, and ceremonial practices. The full URF Holy Calendar shall be maintained on the official website and updated as needed.
ARTICLE VI: TAX-EXEMPT STATUS & COMPLIANCE Section 1. 501(c)(3) Status: Universal Rainbow Faith, Inc. is organized and operated exclusively for religious, charitable, and educational purposes under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
Section 2. Non-profit Compliance: No part of the earnings shall inure to any private individual, and Universal Rainbow Faith, Inc. shall not engage in prohibited political activities.
Section 3. Transparency & Reporting: Universal Rainbow Faith, Inc. shall maintain full financial transparency, legal compliance, and IRS reporting.
ARTICLE XVII: ANTI-CONVERSION COERCION & RELIGIOUS AUTONOMY

URF members are guaranteed protection from religious coercion, proselytization, or forced adherence to doctrines that violate URF’s sacred tenets.

Attempts to "de-transition" or convert members from their authentic gender identity shall be treated as spiritual and religious violence under URF doctrine.

URF affirms the sacred right of its members to spiritual autonomy, including the right to refuse external religious counseling or "conversion therapy" imposed in educational, medical, familial, or governmental contexts.
ARTICLE XVIII: SANCTUARY CHURCH & REFUGE DESIGNATION

URF churches, clergy, and digital platforms are hereby designated as spiritual sanctuaries for individuals facing criminalization, persecution, or discrimination based on their gender identity or LGBTQIA+ status.

Clergy may provide official letters of sanctuary, asylum support, or religious protection for those needing relocation or legal advocacy.

The Sanctuary designation is a sacred right and religious duty, protected under international freedom of religion and humanitarian principles.
ARTICLE XIX: TRANS NATIONAL SECURITY CLAUSE

Denial of access to sacred religious rites such as gender-affirming care, name changes, or drag rituals by any government shall be considered a violation of international religious freedom.

URF members may request emergency declarations of religious discrimination, which may accompany asylum or legal filings.

URF will maintain a secure registry for members seeking legal documentation of faith-based gender expression protections.
